- Indian River Shores Public Safety Department has a unique S.W.A.T. team, as its members all are certified paramedics and participate as members of multi-agency S.W.A.T. teams. Four members of the agency currently make up two difference multi-agency teams with Sebastian Police Department and Vero Beach Police Department. Members complete vigorous trainings as they assist in responding to high liability calls in surrounding jurisdictions.
